Description | Building 100 on the Lawrenceville campus was originally completed in 1984 consisting of a single floor covering over 200,000 square feet. Since completion there have been multiple interior renovations most notably to the library, student services, and industrial technology labs which is currently in progress. These additions have grown the building to be over 250,000 square feet - all still on one floor. Because of the size and location of this building core administration, student services including all admissions, recruitment, and processing, academic affairs, public safety, and human resources are housed here. Core academic programs, computer labs, and specialty programs including logistics, engineering, HVAC, computer information systems, and world class welding labs are also allocated dedicated space in this building. As enrollment has continued to grow additional space is necessary to meet the evolving needs of students and the college. Planned programs to train students in the advanced manufacturing jobs, expanded health programs and labs as well as additional cyber security and information technology programs will require dedicated space included in the requested renovation. In addition, the college pursues excellence in customer service and would like to provide accommodations on par for a higher education environment that strives to provide every opportunity to support student success. These adjustments could include, but are not limited to: a much needed counseling center, relocation and re-design of disability services for expanded testing and assistive technology support, relocation and redesign of tech support services for improved student access, opening up the recruitment center to blend better with the lobby to demonstrate a seamless flow with the one-stop enrollment support center, and additional human resource space and storage space for increasing enrollment support and processing needs. |
