| Description | This project will widen I-405 to add a new lane in both directions to create a dual express toll lane system from SR 522 to SR 527, an extension of the existing express toll lane system from Bellevue to Lynnwood. This project will also make improvements to the SR 522 & SR 527 interchanges. As of September 06, 2022, this project is in Final Planning status. Preliminary engineering has begun and environmental design is expected to be complete in the Third quarter of 2021. The contract advertisement is expected in Fourth quarter of 2022 and construction is anticipated to be operationally complete in the fourth quarter of 2026.
