Description

Remove 4 existing 36” culverts and associated headwalls, clearing and removing all trees, brush, sediment and debris as necessary to provide unobstructed entrance and exit to new box culverts. Furnish and install 40 linear feet of single 8’ wide x 4’ high precast concrete box culvert complete with appropriate wing walls at the upstream entrance and downstream exit. Box culvert shall be constructed to DOT index standards as indicated on the plans. Furnish and install 18” thick bed of rip rap with filter fabric underlayment extending out 15’ from the downstream edge of the box culverts and spanning the overall width of the wing walls. Furnish and install additional 18” thick bed of rip rap on either side of new box culvert and behind wing walls as shown on plan for erosion control. Install two erosion checks with 12” thick rip rap with filter fabric underlayment at the outflow along road bed at 275’ and 450’ north of the culvert centerline. Roadway to be finished with 12” stabilized sub base, extending 4’ beyond edge of roadway to provide stabilized shoulders. Rebuild approximately 700’ of roadbed, importing new material as needed. Surface of roadway to consist of 6” layer of recycled asphalt. One row of sod shall be installed along all paved surfaces. Other disturbed areas shall be regraded and treated with grass seed, fertilizer and mulch to FDOT grassing standards. Furnish and install all necessary mechanisms, including but not limited to silt fence and floating turbidity barriers, to comply with the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan indicated on the plans.
