Description

Approximately 1,800 square feet of exam room and support space renovation on the 1st floor of the Russell Clinic building at UAB. The scope of work includes architectural, electrical, and mechanical new work and associated demolition. The work will be completed in 2 phases. The construction budget is anticipated to be between $200,000 and $300,000. The work will be performed in a clinic area within UAB Hospital and care will be taken to limit disruptions. Work will be performed under infection control and security guidelines and to ensure the safety of patients, staff and contractor. The contractor will be responsible for and shall be experienced with: the implementation and maintenance of infection control requirements, interim life safety measures, constructing and maintaining required barriers, coordinating shutdowns, maintaining a clean and organized job site, and performing construction in a Healthcare environment. The work will be performed by a single Prime General Contractor who has experience managing and coordinate work of similar size and scope as a General Contractor (not as a Construction Manager, Program Manager, etc?)
