General Services Building 2nd Floor Renovation For Emergency Medicine

This two phase project consists of an approximately 17,258 sf partial floor interior renovation of the second floor of the UAB General Services Building (521 19th street south, Birmingham, AL 35233). The renovation includes selective demolition of existing construction, finishes, including above-ceiling mechanical and electrical components and equipment back to the Primary Service points and existing electrical panels to remain. The Interior Demolition and subsequent new construction activity is limited to areas shown on drawings and shall not detrimentally affect any part of area shown to be "Not in Scope". The renovation includes new interior construction, finishes and utilities, as shown on the Construction, Finish and Building Systems Drawings. The renovation also includes upgrading one group of restrooms to meet ADA compliance with reconfiguration for the addition a handicap accessible toilet stall per restroom.
