Central Elementary School - HVAC, Electrical and Fire Alarm Upgrades

Provide major renovations to the Mechanical, Electrical and Fire Alarm Systems at Central Elementary School. Project has been split into 2 phase, Phase 1 Electrical bid, Phase 2 HVAC and Fire Alarms Phase 1 Electrical Demolish existing and provide new electrical service. Demolish existing 480V Main Switchboard MSB and install a fused service disconnect with GFP trip unit ‘SEFD’ in its place. In the Main Electrical Room demolish existing 208V distribution Switchboard MDP and install new 480V and 208V panelboards ‘MSB’ and ‘DP’ respectively. Connect ‘MSB’ to ‘SEFD’ and ‘DP’ to ‘MSB’ via the existing 225kVA transformer. Extend existing feeders and connect to new switchboards to restore previous functions of the building. *NOTE* All prime bidders are required to attend one of the virtual pre-bid conferences (the original pre-bid conference held on March 19 or the refresher pre-bid conference to be held on June 15), and all prime bidders and sub-contractors are required to participate in an arranged site visit. Potential bidders who have participated in the earlier pre-bid conference on March 19 and/or one of the earlier arranged site visits (March 19 and March 26) are not required to participate. However, they are strongly encouraged to participate in the refresher pre-bid conference on June 15. Potential bidders and sub-contractors who have not participated in the earlier virtual meeting or site visits are required to participate in the refresher pre-bid virtual conference (prime bidders) and site visit (prime bidders and subcontractors).
