2023 Milling Project

The Project consists of milling of various roads, totaling approximately 65,123 square yards. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 3/1/2023 10:00 AM A certified check or bank draft made payable to the order Upper Moreland Township or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent of the total bid amount shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond and Labor & Materials Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract and a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 10 percent (10%) of the Contract. Bidders are required to comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L., 987, No. 442, where the estimated cost of the total project is in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). Attention is called to the fact that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their gender, race, creed or color. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding, when in the opinion of the Township, such rejecters or waivers shall be in its interest or advantage. Upper Moreland Township hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse any or all bids submitted, or any portion thereof and also reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids received. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of opening thereof.
