Perdido Key Fire Station Concrete Repairs

This project is for the repair of the damaged concrete pavement in the parking lot at the Perdido Key Fire Station. The Base Bid consists of demolition of the northeast quadrant of the existing parking lot and replacing it with 8 inches of reinforced concrete on 8 inches of graded aggregate base. A new vinyl sheet pile wall will be constructed around the perimeter of the parking area. Additional concrete pavement will be demolished and replaced at Inlets A. B, C, and H. The curb will be demolished and replaced, the guardrail will be demolished, salvaged and replaced, and a section of sidewalk will be demolished and replaced. The northeast underdrain will be videoed once the pavement is demolished. This will require the removal of the header pipe and videoing each of the eleven lateral pipes. Electric power will need to be restored to the outdoor lights that are outside the parking area, all remaining cracks greater the ¼ inch shall be sealed and the parking spaces will be repainted. 1. Additive Alternate No. 1 will consist of demolition and repair of a larger area of pavement around Inlet C than is in the Base Bid and restriping the traffic lane lines. 2. Additive Alternate No. 2 will consist of demolition of a portion of the front parking area and replacing with 6 inches of reinforced concrete with 8 inches of graded aggregate base and restriping the parking spaces. 3. Additive Alternate No. 3 will consist of demolition and repair of a larger area of pavement around Inlet A than is in the Base Bid and restriping the traffic lane lines. 4. Additive Alternate No. 4 will consist of demolition of a section of the west rear parking lot and replacing with 8 inches of reinforced concrete with 8 inches of graded aggregate base.
