Description

Design and construction of a Skate Park at Edinburg’s South Park, 300 East Mark Peña Drive, Edinburg, Texas 78539. Once the design is selected by the committee, the City shall work with the selected equipment vendor to adjust the design as necessary for the specific site requirements. This final Skate Park design shall fall within the budget established by the City. The proposed skate park must meet the safety standards for current skate park design principles that include flow, traffic patterns, and varying skill and ability levels. The design should be predominantly reinforced concrete with other material accepted on wear features and non-skate elements. The skate park should draw and engage local users to a facility that will challenge both beginners and experienced users. The features shall include street and park elements, obstacles, and terrain, with an integrated mixture of elements including bowls and street course elements. Minimum skate park construction must be reinforced, cast-in-place concrete, with steel coping.
