CR 42 Lane Departure Mitigation for Marion County Line to SR 44

This CR 42 Lane Departure Mitigation safety improvements project is with Lake County. The total project length is 19.284-miles from the Marion County line to SR 44. Project scope involves constructing 6-foot to 8-foot wide shoulders (5-foot wide paved including stabilization, base, asphalt and 1-foot to 3-foot unpaved) for approximately 0.95 miles in curves along CR 42 and installing center and shoulder audible vibratory treatment (AVT). Other construction activities include mobilization, maintenance of traffic, erosion control, clearing and grubbing (including selective clearing and grubbing), excavation, embankment, turnout reconstruction, curb and gutter, guardrail installation, sodding, new mast arm signalization installation at the intersection of CR 42 and CR 439, drainage improvements, signing and pavement markings.
