Description

Set Aside: Competitive 8(a). The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to allow an opportunity for the Design Build industry to provide information that will reduce risk and enhance the success of the anticipated Best Value Design Build procurement for an upcoming Request for Proposals (RFP) for the rehabilitation of four at-grade stations located on WMATA's K-Line (Orange Line). General Scope of Work: For each station, the rehabilitation project will include, but not be limited to, the design and implementation of the following work items: - Complete platform structural edge removal and replacement. - Paver tile replacement over the entire platform, mezzanines, and pedestrian bridges. - Granite edge removal and replacement. - Elevator and escalator improvements. - Removal and replacement of all signage. - Removal and replacement of doors and storefront windows systems. - Lighting (station, platform edge, and site). - Structural repairs to roofs and canopies. - Roofing systems removal and replacement for station roofs, canopies, pedestrian bridges, and elevator/stair towers. - Skylight removal and replacement. - Improvements to various ancillary service rooms, break rooms, and restrooms. - Removal and replacement of platform wind screens. - Removal and replacement of Public Information Displays (PIDS). - Removal and replacement of Public Address (PA) Systems. - Removal and replacement of CCTV Systems. - Fiber Optic Cable installation. - Fire alarm and dry standpipe replacement. - Electrical upgrades station-wide. - Ceiling tile replacement and repairs. - Bus shelter replacements .
