Description

Base Bid: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting to construct a Day Use Area including an Interpretive Pavilion (base bid for the Interpretive Pavilion does not include air conditioning or solar panels) and Restroom; the pedestrian bridge and raised boardwalk to the Interpretive Pavilion, driveway, sidewalks, parking area, signage and striping; a potable water distribution system; two sewage lift stations, an onsite wastewater treatment and disposal system; two recreational vehicle “Host” Campsites; a stormwater facility, electrical service, the mitigation work at STA 8+00 and STA 13+00 on Jane’s Scenic Drive, landscaping, and all other improvements as per the contract documents. Alternate #1: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting to construct the raised boardwalk, shell path, and raised alligator slides from STA 500+00 to approximate STA 522+00, where it will adjoin the Base Bid/Interpretive Pavilion raised boardwalk as per the contract documents. Alternate #2: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting to provide and install the air conditioning system for the office within the Interpretive Pavilion per the contract documents. Alternate #3: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting to provide and install the solar electric system for the Interpretive Pavilion per the contract documents. Builder’s Risk and Longshoreman’s Insurance is required for this project and must be included in bid price. Note: Bidder Prequalification is required for all bids. Each bidder shall provide a copy of its biennial pre-qualification letter from FDEP’s Bureau of Design and Construction. If not pre-qualified, the bidder must submit a current State Contractor license certification or registration and current Corporate Charter registration with the bid. Pursuant to Executive Order 07-126 and Section 255.252(3), F.S. the Department requires the proposed project be designed and constructed in accordance with green building standards where applicable.
