Pelican Bay Sidewalk Replacement Phase 1

The sidewalk replacement project generally involves the removal of existing sidewalk asphalt and base material to install a new 6 foot wide concrete sidewalk. Removal includes tree roots located within the sidewalk corridor and root barrier installation where indicated on the plans. Existing trees are to be removed as indicated. Existing irrigation mains or heads will be relocated outside the new sidewalk areas. Sidewalk crossings at street or driveway intersections include reconstruction of curb cuts or ramps and all associated transitions to grade in accordance with Americans with Disabilities (ADA) standards. Signing and marking will be modified or proposed to demark crosswalks and stop bars per MUTCD and FDOT standards.
