Description | The Line isolation monitor is an alarm used to notify the operator of an unsafe condition of an electrical leakage (current) from and energized conductor to ground. This device is located on the secondary of an isolation transformer used in designated electrical susceptible patient areas. There are 46 Line Isolation Monitors (LIM) Panels, all are located in the OR’s, the Cath labs, and the Interventional Radiology section. These are all direct patient treatment areas and mandatory to have the Line Isolation Monitors (LIM) Panels. Contractor shall provide services to inspect, test, calibrate and document the findings per manufactures recommendations, the Joint Commission (JCAHO) EC.02.05.01 and EC.02.05.05, NFPA 99, 4.3.3.3.2, 4.3.3.3.2.1, and the VA procedures, as follows: Annual Inspection of Isolated Power Systems. Includes NFPA 99 required annual testing criteria. Test Report provided upon completion. 46 LIMs/Panels to be tested at the Tampa VA Hospital. |
