Description

The Escambia County Solid Waste Scale Station Modular Building will be located at the Escambia County Landfill. The building size will be 12'x0" wide x 30'x0" long, located in the location of the existing scale house. The existing scale house will be removed, and the location be made ready for the installation of the new scale house by the selected contractor. Building Frame The building frame will have a detachable hitch. The building framework will be 12" I-Beam Perimeter Frame with 95.5 inch I-beam steel floor spacing. The standard axles & tires will be removed & retained by the selected Modular Building Company. Floors The floor shall be constructed of metal floor joist with woven nylon impregnated bottom board decking - Double 5/8" sturd-i-floor. The interior floor shall be LVT. To be selected by owner. Walls and Partitions The exterior wall height shall be 8'-6" tall with a double 2x6 wood top plate and a single 2x6 wood bottom plate. All interior walls shall be 2x4 exterior walls with the studs at 16" on center with 1/2 " vinyl covered gypsum and 4" vinyl base cove (continuous roll). The exterior sheathing to be cementitious (stucco type finish) with structural sheathing to meet FBC chapter 16. Provide moisture resist house wrap around the full perimeter. Eaves/overhangs will be 12". The skirting will be a cementitious (stucco type finish) with adequate vents. Exterior and Interior Doors Interior doors shall be pre-finished 36"x80" solid core imperial oak with a prefinished steel rediframe and floor mounted door stops. The interior lever door hardware shall have a privacy restroom lock. The exterior lever door hardware shall have an entry door lock with a closer. The exterior doors shall be a 36'x80' steel door with 6x8 1/2 Glass. Provide three hinges for each door. The modular building company will provide and install a fully ADA compliant aluminum ramp to the front door the of the building Roof The roof shall have architectural shingles, FBC hurricane straps and attic ventilation. The 24" o.c. trusses will be a cottage type with a pitch below 14'-6". The roof sheathing shall consist of fire retardant 7/16" OSB decking with 12" overhangs Truss Spacing. Insulation R-19 floor, R-13 exterior wall, R-11 interior walls and R-30 ceiling batt insulation.
