Berths 6 and 7 Rehabilitation

The Project consists of repairs to berth 6 and gantry tower areas of berth 7. Project includes installation of micropiles and modification of pile cap at berth 6 to replace broken piles, repair of pile caps, installation of pile jackets, and polymer injection to landside of sheet pile to prevent further loss of soil. The pile jacket work has two alternate methods. The Base Bid Price: include all work on Berth 6 except costs of Base Alternate 1 and 2. Base Alternates 1 & 2 are separate line items with cost listed separately for comparison, one of these two Alternates will be awarded with the Base Bid Contract. Additive Alternates 3 through 7 are for work on Berth 7 to be awarded if sufficient funds are available. • Base adjustment Alternate No. 1 (Base Price for Alt 1 method): The cost for pile jacketsand repairs using Alternate method 1 shall be included in this bid item. State $0 if only base alternate 2 is bid. • Base adjustment Alternate No. 2 (Base Price for Alt 2 method): The cost for pile jackets and repairs using Alternate method 2 shall be included in this bid item. State $0 if only base alternate 1 is bid. • Adjustment Option 3 (Price and Duration Addition): Add pile cap repairs for berth 7. • Adjustment Option 4 (Price and Duration Addition): Add pile repairs for berth 7 using Additive Alternate method 4. State $0 if only additive alternate 5 is bid. • Adjustment Option 5 (Price and Duration Addition): Add pile repairs for berth 7 using Additive Alternate method 5. State $0 if only additive alternate 4 is bid. • Adjustment Option 6 (Price Addition): Add polymer grout at West Gantry Tower • Adjustment Option 7 (Price Addition): Add polymer grout at East Gantry Tower.
