Description

For Restroom Renovation for Carson Park Recreation Building CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 3/30/2023 12:00 AM Every request for such interpretation should be in writing using the Questions feature within PennBid and to be given consideration must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. The project is the limited interior and exterior renovation of the Carsonia Park Recreation Building at 905 Byram Street in Lower Alsace Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. The interior renovation work includes selective demolition, the construction of two accessible multiple fixture restrooms with new exterior access, the construction of one accessible single-use restroom with new interior access, the construction of a new concession area, interior finishes and fixtures, alterations and extension of the existing electrical and plumbing systems, new heating and cooling system and exhausts for the renovation areas and new ceiling tiles in the existing restrooms. The exterior renovation work includes selective demolition, new doors, frames and hardware, the construction of new pent roofs over the new doors and other exterior work necessary for the project. The Owner and the General Public shall use the occupiable portions of the Carsonia Park Recreation Building during the project. The Contractor shall prepare areas of the Work and shall protect the existing Owner's equipment, which is to remain in-place as required for the Owner to utilize and operate within the building. The Contractor shall maintain safe access to and from and within the building for the Owner, Employees and General Public. The project shall be undertaken under the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination. The 2015 International Existing Building Code as adopted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania UCC governs the project. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. Bidders shall prepare their proposals after giving consideration to the applicability of all laws and regulations, Local, State and/or Federal, governing the project. The successful bidder will be required to furnish "100% Performance Bond" and "100% Labor and Material Payment Bond", and "10% Maintenance Bond" issued by a surety company satisfactory to the Recreation Commission of the Antietam Valley (RCAV). The Recreation Commission of the Antietam Valley (RCAV) reserves the right to accept or reject all or any portion of any or all bids, to waive any omissions, errors, irregularities, or technicalities in any bid and to make the award in the best interest of the Recreation Commission of the Antietam Valley (RCAV).
