Description

Q & A deadline: April 24, 2023, 6:30:00 PM EDT For VMC-OCH Infusion Center Remodel, 263-CP23021, located at O'Connor Hospital, 2105 Forest Ave., San Jose, CA, 95128, in accordance with Bid Documents on file for the Work in the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors. Failure to specify the exact address may result in the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors not receiving the bid, or not receiving the bid by the deadline. All bids must be in the possession of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors by the specified deadline. The Work will consist of: Change of use - The purpose of the project is to increase the capacity of the existing infusion center by repurposing a previous (not in use) ambulatory surgery unit, to accommodate growth in the volume of scheduled procedures per week. The new tenant improvements require minor demolition of existing conditions due to new floor plan layout for infusion center department. Scope of work includes but is not limited to modification to new interior walls, door/frames, ceiling and finishes, compliance with current life safety codes and modification to building systems (HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing and associated systems) will be needed due to new floor plan layout. Project does not include modifications to the exterior building envelop or building structural system. The project includes modifications to the fire sprinkler system and fire alarm system. Modifications of these systems shall be the responsibility of the contractor's licensed design build subcontractors. Bid Bond: 10% Performance Bond: 100% Payment Bond: 100% The Contract Time for the completion of all the Work of the Project is 276 calendar Days from the Commencement Date in Owner's Notice to Proceed. Designated portions of the Work must be completed according to the following Milestones: 1. Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of the entire Work no later than 251 Days from the Commencement Date. 2. Contractor shall achieve Final Completion of the entire Work no later than 276 Days from the Commencement Date.
