Description | Los Angeles County Public Works is seeking to prequalify bidders to replace the existing fire alarm system at the County of Los Angeles Hall of Administration, located at 500 W. Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012. 01/31/24 :Part A - Initial Determination of Prequalified Bidders 03/05/24 :Part B -Bid Submittals due to the County 02/05/24 :Issuance of Part B RFB to prequalified Bidders 03/12/24 :Oral Presentations [If Applicable] 03/20/24: Notification of Best Value Contractor Determination 03/21/24 :Award of Contract (Tentative) Proposers must submit questions in writing and request information for this solicitation by 14 calendar days prior to the submittal deadline. The Hall of Administration existing fire alarm and mass notification systems are original to the building and are now obsolete and require frequent and costly maintenance as replacement parts are no longer readily available. This project consists of the replacement of the existing fire alarm system including fire alarm panels, pull stations, and the public address components with a new mass notification system that will be integrated with the new fire alarm system. The new systems shall comply with all current codes. The Hall of Administration building shall remain operational during the project, and work shall be phased and coordinated with the County. The hazardous abatement wok, if needed, will be carried out by a Job Order Contractor (JOC) selected by the County. General Contractor shall coordinate the work with the JOC and incorporate any abatement work into the projects overall schedule Mail-in electronic SOQs via Universal Serial Bus (USB) drive or compact disk (CD) to Public Works Headquarters. The deadline to submit Statements of Qualificatoins (SOQ) is Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. SOQs received after the deadline will not be accepted. Proposers may use FedEx or UPS (or other delivery service) to deliver SOQs. Proposers may submit SOQs in-person to the Cashiers Office by the deadline. Submissions must be received by the specified submittal date and time. SUBMISSIONS RECEIVED AFTER THE DEADLINE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Only those firms registered for this RFSQ through the Public Works website will receive automatic notification when any update to this RFSQ is made.
