Description

The work for this project will have the following scope. To provide a dedicated bus only entrance/exit to the Red Lot, a new concrete entrance to the public right-of-way of Pollard Blvd. will need to be created. A new swing gate will be installed at the newly created entrance. Bollards will be installed to create a barricade at an existing vehicular access point between the Red Lot and the Green Lot entrance drive. In order to create an area for the buses at the commuter pick up/drop off, a section of the existing asphalt in the Red Lot will be removed and a new concrete pad will be installed in its place. A top priority of the project will be ensuring we meet current ADA requirements in providing accessible parking spaces as well as providing ADA accessible routes connecting our commuters to the buses. This project will create new ADA parking spaces in the Green Lot. Achieving this will call for the removal of asphalt sections within the Green Lot. These areas will be graded to meet the project requirements and repaved. ADA accessible routes will be created in order to provide adequate commuter connectivity to the buses. This will call for the creation of new concrete pathways and modifications to existing concrete pathways. ADA signage and striping will clearly identify the parking spaces and pathways. Work in both the Red and Green Lots call for the removal of existing striping and the application of new striping. The removal of existing curb and gutter will be required for both lots as well. New concrete curb and gutter will be installed per the project documents. This project will also call for the installation of a new storm drainage line which will tie into an existing storm structure.
