Description | SCOPE OF DESIGN This project will construct a parking garage on the main medical campus at the Bruce W. Carter Miami VA Medical Center. The garage will be 500 new spaces not counting the existing spaces on current asphalt and constructed in such a manner that can expand to accommodate additional floors for future parking. The existing ground parking shall be renovated with new asphalt, parking stripes, and stops. This will include the design construction, lighting, necessary security measures, cameras, lighting, fencing, anti-suicide barriers, pavement markings, access control systems including camera termination to the police service so that the feeds are viewable from the existing police monitoring station. The construction will take place of government owned land at the Medical Center Campus or auxiliary parking area. The garage shall also include electric vehicle charging stations with industry standard electrical connections. Proprietary brand specific alternate connections may also be used but must be clearly labeled. Each station should have the ability to charge as many makes and models commonly sold in the United States. The A-E shall be professionally licensed in any state in the United States, with the exception of the Structural Engineer, who must be professionally licensed in the state of Florida. The A-E is responsible for all services to complete the deliverables listed in the A-E Scope of Work (SOW) (546-132 AE Statement of Task_Rev 01-12-2021). Please note that the 180 calendar day period of performance for the design completion begins with the issuance of the Notice of Award (NOA) and that a Notice to Proceed (NTP) will not be issued for the completion of a design project. The construction period services will be an option items that will be exercised after the award of the construction project. The period of performance for construction period services will match the period of performance for the construction project. |
