A. Before submitting a bid, each bidder will be responsible to make or obtain such explorations, tests and data concerning physical conditions (surface, subsurface and underground facilities) at or contiguous to the site, or otherwise may affect cost, progress, performance or furnishing of the work and which bidder deems necessary to determine its bid for performing and furnishing the work in accordance with the time, price and other terms and conditions of the Contract Documents. B. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. New 2 Story Elementary school approx. 116,500 SQFT. Classrooms, administration area, Gym, cafeteria, Kitchen, media center, restrooms and other support rooms. 2. Construction is Steel frame with masonry infill and load bearing masonry, suspended slab is concrete planks, and roof is a combination of standing seam metal and low slope membrane roofing. North Columbia Elementary Replacement. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond and in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid. Both performance bond and a payment bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities and to award the project on whatever basis is in the interest of the Owner.
