Description

Plans call for the construction of a business building and research quality hangar space at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's existing research park. All trades from sitework, structure, skin, finishes & MEP services will be required. This includes all new sitework & landscaping along with the three-story structures with a structural steel structure with concrete. Project also includes: millwork, roofing, exterior skin (Precast wall panels / metal wall panels / waterproofing / soffits), doors, frames, hardware, windows/storefront/curtain wall, auto door operators, drywall systems, acoustic ceilings, flooring/tile, terrazzo, resinous flooring, painting, specialties, blinds, elevators, fire sprinklers, plumbing, HVAC & electrical. Please see additional clarifications for your use in regards to the tenant fit out requirements: 1. Specialized “sound proof doors” : Provide 5 STC 50 Krieger doors 2. KVM rooms do not require specialized fire suppression 3. KVM rooms do not require specialized HVAC; they require a split-system. 4. KVM rooms do not require sheathing. 5. The size of the emergency generator is 100 KW. 6. The low voltage cable is to be installed by the Tenant’s vendor. 7. The Data storage closets are shown on the plans emailed on 3/14/2023. 8. Exposed Conduits are to be provided on partitions containing RF foil only. 9. Workstations to be wired from ceiling via power poles - No Floor Penetrations 10. Shielded Data Wiring is required in secured spaces only. 11. Sound Insulation in ductwork is required at the penetration of a secured partition only. 12. Radio Frequency Tight Box: The foil, in the secured partition, is turned horizontally at the metal deck and the floor for 18 inches. The metal deck at the floor and roof construction provide frequency shielding. Ceilings are not radio frequency shielded. 13. Acoustic sound insulation is to be provided in the partitions for offices and meeting rooms. Please provide a detail on how to ground the secured walls, specifically size of wire required, spacing of attachment points (is it every 16”), and desired attachment method. Is it acceptable to run a #8 bare ground wire through the studs with self-tapping grounding screws every stud? There is a secure ground box placed in vestibules to ground the Data, HVAC Controls, Fire Alarm etc. Metallic Penetrations are ground using #4 awg. *The owner requests that all subcontractor / supplier inquiries be directed to the GC Bidder.
