Description | This project is a Section 3 contract opportunity. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Funds in the amount of 5% of the Bid Amount. Deadline for Questions August 9, 2022, Deadline for Addenda August 13, 2022, RFQ Submittal Deadline 2 p.m. on August 23, 2022. Addendum may be issued during the response period. Respondents are responsible for addenda. Responses submitted without acknowledgement of all addenda will be rejected. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project is a traditional "design-bid-build" model which consists of the construction and renovations of the Bartow County Health Department. The Contractor shall complete all Work as presented in the Bid Plans and Specifications. The Work is generally described as follows: Construction of renovations and expansions to the existing Bartow County Health Department building at 100 Zena Drive, Cartersville, GA 30120. The existing 15,695 SF building does not provide the space ratio necessary to serve the Bartow County population. The renovations and additions will bring the total square footage to just over 21,000 square feet. The scope of work includes but is not limited to interior/exterior renovations, ADA improvements, interior/exterior construction and new interior/exterior finishes. The complete scope of work is outlined in the project specifications, drawings and the project manual as prepared by CARTER WATKINS ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS, INC. The project is funded, in part, by a Community Development Block Grant and all requirements thereof must beSealed Bids will be received and then publicly opened and read aloud. Bids are to be submitted at the Hampton City Hall - Attention: Rashida Fairley - City Clerk; 17 E. Main St. S.; Hampton, GA 30228; Reference: "CALDWELL DRIVE STORMWATER IMPROVEMENTS - ITB #2022-300", Bid opened at that time met at all times. Davis Bacon Wage rates are present in the project and conformance to such is imperative. Refer to the project specifications, drawings and the project manual as prepared by CARTER WATKINS ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS, INC for project information. Contracting shall be by means of a General Contractor for Construction between one General Contractor and Bartow County. Contractors must not be on the Georgia Department of Community Affairs de-barred list. If applicable, the owner reserves the right to have the contractor install items/elements which have been donated by the community. The Contractor shall credit the owner the fair market value of the item/material donated which will be included in a Change Order.
