Description

Scope of Replacement: Construct a new High School building and associated facilities to support a 1500 student capacity. Replacing all buildings and facilities onsite, except for the cafeteria building and concession stand, and constructing new facilities. The new buildings must meet all Building Code requirements currently in place by all Agencies Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and be in alignment with the District's educational specifications and technical standards. Replacement of Beaverton High School located at 13000 SW 2nd St, Beaverton, OR 97005. Beaverton High School is located in downtown Beaverton, west of Hall Boulevard and south of Farmington Road. The original building was constructed in 1916 and has been modified significantly over the years. The existing main building is intended to remain in place and occupied while a new building is constructed adjacent. Students and Staff will be transitioned into the new building once completed and the existing buildings will be replaced. Construction/Design Project Budget: The Maximum Allowable Construction Cost (MACC) is $210,800,000. Project Schedule: Schematic Design will commence in July of 2022. Design is estimated to be complete in the early Spring of 2024. Construction is anticipated to take place beginning in the spring/summer of 2024 and be completed by August 2027. The district must move students into the new building in Summer of 2026 prior to the demolition of the existing building. Begin Pre-GMP Service September 2022 through Winter 2022/2023 Establish GMP** Fall 2023 Construction Start Date June 2024 New Building Substantially Complete July 6, 2026 Includes Temporary Certificate of Occupancy All Construction Substantially Complete July 30, 2027 Final Completion December 2027
