Description

Project Description: The Southwestern Galveston District (SWG) covers an area averaging 100 miles in width along the Texas coast, extending from approximately 15 miles east of the Texas- Louisiana state line south to the Rio Grande. SWG's responsibility encompasses all of 49 Texas counties, portions of four Louisiana parishes, and adjacent waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Project Description for Seed Task Order: Dredging of the Houston Ship Channel, Exxon to Carpenters Bayou reach from Sta. 240+00 to Sta. 504+00. Schedule No. 1 consists of 1,893,000 cubic yards and Option No. 1 consists of 447,000 cubic yards. Estimated duration for Schedule 1 is approximately 385 calendar days with a production rate of 6,000 cubic yards per day. Duration for Option No. 1 is 113 calendar days.
