Description

Water Plant: The work at the Water Plant includes providing bonds and insurance; removing and inspecting the pumping equipment; disposing of equipment not to be reused; replacing the pump and motor; sounding the lap; performing any necessary mechanical rehabilitation to the well; replacing all column assembly components and accessories to a pump setting of 480 feet (480’); installing the pump, motor, column assembly and accessories; bacteriological testing; performing water well performance test; disinfecting the water well; performing water sampling and testing after reinstallation of pumping equipment; preparation, implementation, and record keeping of a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan; restoring site grading to original or better condition and hydromulching all areas within the plant site and all other adjacent areas disturbed during this construction; recoating the 12” check valve at Booster Pump No. 1; recoating the discharge head, the 12” check valve, and the 12” gate valve at Booster Pump No. 2; recoating the discharge head, the 12” check valve, and the 12” gate valve at Booster Pump No. 3; recoating the 12” gate valve at Booster Pump No. 4; wire brushing and cold spray galvanizing the outdoor aboveground booster pump piping; recoating the bottom flange, bottom 12” of tank, and replacing the foundation sealant of corroded areas of Ground Storage Tank No. 2; replacing the foundation sealant on Ground Storage Tank No. 1; constructing a concrete swale between Ground Storage Tank No. 2 and the existing swale; and all items needed for a completely functioning water plant. Remote Water Well No. 2: The work at Remote Water Well No. 2 includes blasting and recoating the aboveground water well piping including the 12” check valve, the 12” spool piece at the flow meter, the 8” gate valve, the 12” gate valve, and the spool at ground level; wire brushing and cold spray galvanizing the aboveground well galvanized piping; installing a canopy over the existing motor control center (MCC), as specified and shown on plans; constructing a crushed concrete turnaround, as specified and shown on plans; and all items need for a completely functioning water well.
