Description

a. The maintenance of traffic through the work zone during all paving and reconstruction operations through the use of certified flagmen or policemen supplied by the Town as necessary. These men shall coordinate the safe flow of traffic at all times and shall not be a part of the paving operation. All barricades, cones, advanced warning signs, and symbols necessary shall be provided by the contractor. b. Preparation of the roadway prior to overlay. This shall include full depth reclamation where indicated, profile milling, milling of keys, shimming or leveling course required in the technical specifications. All areas to be paved shall receive a tack coat in accordance with the specifications. c. Placement of bituminous concrete pavement at the specified thickness’ where indicated respectively, on town roads inclusive of tack coat in accordance with the specifications. The work items described above do not define the complete list of work items required to complete the overlay improvements. The Contractor shall be responsible to perform all other associated work necessary for the completion of the project. In addition, the Contractor will be required to obtain all necessary licenses and permits required to construct the facilities, and assist others in conducting inspections related to the work.
