Rodney Complex Park and Stormwater Facilities

The Rodney Dormitory Complex (Site) is approximately 7.24 acres and is identified as New Castle County tax parcel number 18-019.00-296. The southern portion of the site contains the bulk graded area that will become the stormwater pond as part of this contract. The former dormitory buildings in this area of the site have been removed and the site is currently fenced off with a chain-link fence. The northern portion of the site includes tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts, open grass areas, walking paths, and parking areas. Prior environmental investigations and known environmental conditions at the Site are documented in the Site Reports. The Site is a Certified Brownfield site in the State of Delaware. All work shall be performed in accordance with the DNREC approved Contaminated Materials Management Plan as well as all Local, State, and Federal laws and regulations. The drawings and specifications further define the scope of work. The Contractor shall furnish all required equipment, materials, and labor necessary for completion of the work described below: A. Installation and maintenance of erosion and sedimentation control measures. B. Final grading and stabilization of stormwater pond. C. Construction of park amenities. D. Installation of plantings and landscaping.
