BR 1-065 on Parkside Boulevard Over Perkins Run

Consist of furnishing all labor and materials for the replacement of BR 1-065and other incidental construction in accordance with the location, notes and details shown on the plans and as directed by the Engineer. This project involves the replacement of the two (2) existing corrugated metal pipe arches with a precast concrete arch. The arch will be supported by cast-in-place concrete footers and will include modular block retaining wingwalls on all four corners of the proposed bridge to tie into existing side slopes. The use of a combination of precast/prefabricated elements and cast-in-place elements has been selected for long-term durability of the structure, to reduce the time needed for construction and an associated traffic detour, and to accommodate variations in the elevations of rock. Additional work includes extending the sidewalk on the north side of the roadway across the bridge and ending near the intersection of dustin drive. Guardrail on the north side of roadway will be removed, but guardrail on the south side of the roadway will be replaced with guardrail that meets current design standards. The total width of the roadway will remain unchanged from the existing condition. Work will be performed under a full road closure with a posted detour for vehicular traffic.
