Description

This project provides additional drainage capacity along Woodbeach Avenue. The existing roadway has four (4) thirty-six (36) inch cross drains under Woodbeach Avenue. The work includes the removal of two (2) of the thirty-six (36) inch pipes and replacement with a triple six (6) foot x three (3) foot box culvert. This project will include other work associated with the construction of the drainage improvements such as maintenance of traffic, erosion control, clearing and grubbing, dewatering, regular excavation, embankment, prepared soil layer, type B stabilization, Optional Base Group 6, Asphaltic Concrete, Milling, box culvert construction, flowable fill, ribbon curb, wooden boardwalk construction, concrete headwall construction, wooden handrail construction, pipe culvert installation (round), end wall construction, mulch, temporary shoring, rip rap and sodding. Maintenance of drainage flow through the existing culverts will be a major component of the project while the new box culverts are constructed.
