| Description | Overhead signs and HMLP’s located within District 5 of the Florida Department of Transportation, hereinafter called the Department roadways are to be inspected in compliance with Federal and State regulations. For the purpose of this scope a structure is considered to be an overhead Sign or HMLP if it is located on government right-of-way and meets the criteria established in the AASHTO Transportation Glossary and State of Florida Statue 335.074, Safety Inspection of Bridges. National Bridge Inspection Standard Code of Federal Regulations 23-Highways, Part 650, Subpart C; for the inspection of bridges will be applied to all overhead sign and HMLP structures. |
