Gloucester High School Flood Protection Project

**As of December 2,, 2022, project was awarded to Charter Contracting Company, awarded amount is $3,244,202.40** Prevailing wages apply, Bids must include a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid price. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept that which is deemed in the best interest of the City. The City shall not be responsible for proposals arriving late for any reason 18.0173899.00 The proposed work will involve the construction of an approximately 1,439 linear foot steel sheetpile flood wall along the Annisquam River to provide flood protection for the Gloucester High School, athletic facilities and existing infrastructure. Additional work includes filling to create earthen levees at each end of the proposed flood wall, construction of scour protection along the landward side of the flood wall, limited removal and replacement of bituminous pavement, removal and replanting of trees, landscaping improvements and restoration, erosion repairs; and removal, storage, and reinstallation of existing fencing, benches, and other site features to remain.
