Description

Work to be done under this contract include the furnishing of all materials, equipment, permitting, labor and means of construction necessary for the completion of a functional City of Live Oak Public Water Supply Well, designated herein as Well #11. This Work includes the completion of a well to public supply well standards and all necessary piping, electrical and control connections so that the new well is ready to be commissioned for service. The well shall have a minimum of 16-inch diameter and with sufficient depth that allows this well to produce up to 1,500 gallons per minute (gpm) of clean potable water free of sand, silt, and mud. The pumped groundwater quality should have a turbidity of 0.8 NTU or less and a maximum total suspended solid (TSS) content of 5 mg/L. It is the intent of these specifications that upon successful completion of the well and acceptance by the owner, this well will be permitted by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection as a public supply well. Contractor shall include all costs for sampling, laboratory testing, and other regulatory compliance requirements in the base bid.
