SR20-22M Erie County

Part 1 Engineering District 1-0 will retain an Engineering Firm to provide a supplementary construction inspection staff of approximately one (1) TCIS , two (2) TCI inspectors, and one (1) Technical Assistant; duties include construction inspection, documentation, and other services as required for the construction of SR 20-22M in Erie County. TCIS must have NECEPT for bituminous paving and PennDOT concrete certifications. One TCI must have NECEPT for bituminous paving and the other TCI must have a PennDOT concrete certification. Inspection forces will be needed from May 10th, 2021 through November 4th, 2022, with a winter shut down. Roll-out dates could be different based on actual need and layoffs should be expected for the winter months.SR 20-22M involves 4.72 miles of 3R resurfacing, restoration, rehabilitation work on US Route 20 (Ridge Road) from Zuck Road to Chestnut Street in Millcreek Township and the City of Erie, Erie County. This work includes base repair, milling and overlay, ADA ramps, sidewalks, drainage and guiderail updates along with new pavement markings. The project includes complete traffic signal replacement at seven (7) intersections and the rebuild of signals at three (3) intersections and structure work on the bridges over I-79 and Pittsburgh Avenue. The one bridge over I-79 will be a complete replacement through the Design Build Process and the other bridge over I-79 and the bridge over Pittsburgh Avenue will just be bridge rehabilitation projects.
