2020 Hyannis Commercial Center-Sidewalk Construction and Intersection Improvements

The work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to, The work under this Contract consists of sidewalk construction along Independence Drive, Kidd’s Hill Road and Attucks Lane and intersection improvements at the intersection of Attucks Lane and Wilkens Lane. Intersection improvements include the construction of a traffic signal, addition of sidewalk and wheelchair ramps within the intersection and pavement markings and regulatory signage. Sidewalk construction will include drainage improvements and wheelchair ramp construction. The work includes unclassified excavation, micromilling, full depth hot mix asphalt pavement, hot mix asphalt overlay, drainage, granite curb, hot mix asphalt berm, highway guard, pavement markings, signs, a new traffic signal system, water line extension, hydrant and water valve replacements, modification of an existing traffic signal system, landscaping and other incidental work. The work includes three (3) add alternate bids. Refer to the plans for limits of work. Add Alternate #1 – Lighting Add Alternate #2 – Mary Dunn Road Sidewalk The work included in add alternate #2 consists of installing a hot mix asphalt sidewalk Add Alternate #3 – Kidd’s Hill Road at Phinney’s Lane Intersection Improvements
