Main Street Pump Station and Plant - City of Newport News

This project will provide upgrades to drainage along Main Street and a proposed force main from the Main Street underpass. Stormwater from the pump station will be treated with ultra violet disinfection before entering the James River. Construction documents are expected to be completed in April 2023 with contractor bidding to follow in May 2023. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
