Description

Project will consist of approximately 360,000 square feet of new building construction on the existing approximately fifty-eight (58) acre site located at 1050 South Main; Payson, Utah. The new high school will include all standard high school amenities, including an administration and counseling area; media center; kitchen and lunchroom area; auditorium with drama, choral, and band facilities; a matching gymnasium and auxiliary gymnasium with full team and physical education locker rooms; a weight/fitness room; wrestling room; career and technical education shops and classrooms; art, home economics, and business classrooms; etc. The second story will be comprised of standard education classrooms, including science classrooms and labs. This Project will also have mechanical mezzanines to accommodate mechanical, electrical, and data equipment. The site will be developed with a football stadium and track, tennis courts, and other athletic facilities and fields; parking lots; roads; and grass and landscaping areas. The football stadium and track construction will include a new artificial turf football field, an eight (8) lane synthetic track, stadium bleachers with a press box on the home side, and a masonry storage building under the home side bleachers to store track, field, field drainage, and sports equipment. The new Payson High School will be constructed while the existing high school is occupied and in session. There will be approximately 211,000 square feet of existing building that will be demolished after the new Payson High School is constructed. with some selective demolition needed at the front end of the Project.
