Description | The scope of work consists of the installation of approximately 1,785' of 10" and 738' of 8" Sanitary Sewer, 1,120' of 24" and 2,068' of 12" Storm Sewer, together with all necessary excavation, bedding, backfill, asphalt pavement repair for trenches, manholes, catch basins, 6" service laterals, 7,800 SY pavement planing and resurfacing, restoration, and other necessary appurtenances. The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents. (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.) 2. A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in favor of the Village of Grafton, Ohio, in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is a 100% payment and performance bond. After the award of the contract let by competitive bid and prior to the time the contract is entered into, bidders shall submit the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in Lorain County, Ohio. The successful bidder will be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio. The Village of Grafton, Ohio reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularity in any bid, and to determine the lowest and best bidder.DOMESTIC STEEL AND MADE IN USA PRODUCTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE PROVIDED/USED FOR ALL MATERIAL ASPECTS/COMPONENTS OF THIS PROJECT.No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 90 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. This project is being partially funded by Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) funds and Ohio Water Development Authority (OWDA). 217000-00330 The opinion of the probable cost of construction is $1,618,000. |
