RFQ Design - New Fire Station Facility

Request for Qualifications and Announcement of Available Contract for Architectural/ Engineering Services. Eaton Township, Lorain County, Ohio intends to contract for Architectural/ Engineering services for a New Fire Station Facility. The Statement of Qualifications shall include information regarding the firm's history, education and experience of owners and key personnel who will be assigned to this project; the firm's designated lead Architect/Architect-in-Charge's experience in performing architectural schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration and observation; availability of staff; the firm's equipment and facilities; and a minimum of five (5) references from similar size projects. It should also include what services or assistance will be available to the township to help with the capital improvement levy campaign. Grafton, Ohio 44044 Please submit five (5) copies of the Statement of Qualifications. As required by the Ohio Revised Code Section 153.65-73, firms responding will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications. Following this evaluation, the owner will enter into contract negotiations with the most highly qualified firm. The new station will be approximately 10,000 -- 12,000 SF in size and incorporate all the main functions of a fire and rescue facility. The total project budget for the project is approximately Three Million Dollars (S3,000,000). This includes all soft costs such as Architectural/ Engineering Fees, furnishings and fixtures. The source of funding will be dependent on the passage of a Capital Improvement levy The anticipated dates for design start-up/completion are September 1, 2020/ February 28, 2021 The anticipated dates for construction start-up/ completion are April 1, The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
