Description | Description of the Project: Construct a 4 wide concrete sidewalk and associated work, on the west side of St. Joseph Lane, beginning at Dixie Highway and ending at Elberta Circle. 1. All bidders and DBE subcontractors must be pre-qualified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and possess a Certificate of Eligibility at the time of the bid opening. All other subcontractors must be prequalified when accepting subcontracts. 2. Due to the Federal Funding Source, this project is subject to the Federal Davis-Bacon Act wage rate requirements and Buy America restrictions. 3. Bids shall include a Bid Bond, payable to the City of Park Hills, in amount not less than 5% of bid. The awarded bidder will be responsible for providing a Performance Bond of 100% and a Payment Bond of 100% of the awarded bid amount payable to the LPA. 4. There is an eight percent (8%) DBE goal on this project. The bidder must certify that it has secured participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises ("DBE") and that the DBE participation is in compliance with the requirements of 49 CFR 26 and the policies of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet pertaining to the DBE Program. 5. A unit price bid totaling a lump sum is desired for General Construction. 6. All work must comply with the LPA Guide, Federal Highway Rules, guidelines, local, state and federal laws. 7. All bids must be made on the required Bid Form and shall not be altered in any way. The complete bid document must be returned, not just the bid pages. Failure to return all pages may result in a bid not being eligible for award. 8. The LPA reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. |
