Purchase of Quicklime (1-Year contract for the J.R. Dean (WTP) Water Treatment Facility)

Delivery shall be between the hours of 5:00AM and 8:00PM, seven days a week. Contract shall continue for one year from October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023. Rice/Foundry Quicklime Calcium Oxide (CaO). Shall be a minimum of 90% - 92% available Calcium Oxide. Impurities must not exceed 2%. 30 second reactivity 25 C average, using the ASTM C-110 analysis process, 3-minute reactivity 40 C minimum, using the ASTM C-110 analysis process. Water Insoluble Residue using #30 mesh not to exceed 2.0% Size: #4 x #14 mesh, Rice/Foundry. Must meet AWWA Standard B202-19 and ANSI/NSF 60, drinking water treatment chemicalshealth effects. In the event of a tie preference will be given to minority/woman owned businesses, businesses with a drug free workplace program, businesses who produce their product in Florida, and lastly the bid that was received first Bid will be awarded to the lowest priced responsible bidder. The Governing Board of Directors of the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid, and to award to any party considered to be in the best interest of the Authority.
