Description

Scope of work includes: Demo Work: 1. Demo electric hand dryers, paper towel dispensers, soap dispensers, mirrors, toilet partitions, and baby changing station. 2. Remove and reuse grab bars. (Contractor to provide additional grab bars if needed to meet ADA compliance.) Reference Figure 604.5.1 and Figure 604.5.2 in ICC A117.1-2017. 3. Demo all faucets, lavatories, urinals, and water closets. All water distribution lines for lavatories, water closets and urinals to REMAIN. Replace all cut off valves for water closets, urinals and lavatories. 4. Demo existing spigot and provide a new tamper-proof spigot. 5. Demo stainless steel ADA sink with electric plug and light in both men and women’s restroom. Patch hole with 20-gauge metal studs and cement board and patch with new tile (match size and finish of existing tile, color doesn’t not matter, a coating will applied to all walls as a part of this project). A new wall mounted ADA sink to be installed in this area. New Work: 1. Install cover plates over junction box where old existing electric hand dryers were demoed. 2. New paper towel/toilet paper/soap dispenser to be provided by owner and installed by contractor. 3. Install new ADA compliant mirrors. Reference 603.3 ICC A117.1 – 2017. 4. Install new ADA compliant baby changing station. (Reference 308.2.1 and 308.2.2 ICC A117.1- 2017) 5. Replace existing outlet with (1) GFCI outlet (20 AMP). 6. Install touchless fixtures on all water closets, urinals and lavatories. 1. Water closets/urinals shall be equipped with a touchless flush sensor retro fit kit from either of the following companies: Sloan, Zurn, or American Standard. 2. Lavatories shall be equipped with a battery-operated touchless faucet similar to Sloan SF-2450, American Standard Paradigm Selectronic, or an approved equal. (The owner prefers to have the sink and faucets provided by the same manufacturer.) 3. Replace all water closets, urinals and lavatories with: Sloan, Zurn, or American Standard. Contractor to provide adequate pipe insulation for ADA compliance. ADA heights for all water closets, urinals and lavatories shall be meet. Reference Chapter 6 ICC A117.1-2017. 7. Apply a pigmented coating over tile walls. (Example: Sani glaze or an approved equal) Contractor to repair cracked or damaged tiles and fill any holes with caulk. 8. Apply a cementitious urethane slurry at a minimum thickness of 1/4" to 3/8" to include a 6" radial cove base around the exterior of the room. Apply a polyaspartic sealer with a non-skid finish over all areas where epoxy flooring is placed. 9. Repair existing sheetrock in bathrooms. Repaint all sheetrock in bathroom. 10. Install new solid phenolic partitions for water closets and urinals. Ensure that all compartment sizes meet ADA compliance. Reference Figure 604.9.2 (A/B) and 604.10.1 ICC A117.1-2017 11. Refinish Bathroom door. (Strip and re-stain door.) 12. Provide new ADA compliant signage.
