Shingle Creek Shoal Removal

This project consists of the removal of 24,000 cubic yards (cy) of material (sand and vegetation) and pipe to a site at the City of Kissimmee, approximately 1.5 miles to the west and immediately north of Shingle Creek, while protecting the Creek and Lake Tohopekaliga from turbidity and other water quality violations. The Contractor will prepare the site on the City property to receive the material, per the construction plans. The project will be considered complete when the Project Manager and the City of Kissimmee determine that the material is stabilized and the site restored to the City’s satisfaction. The work includes mobilization, installation of erosion control devices to protect the lake and the creek, and barriers to close of the work area and Shingle Creek from boating traffic. Appropriate turbidity barriers at the point of activity in Lake Tohopekaliga will also be required.
