Description

The existing channel from Johnson Avenue to Scenic Highway (Glynn Broc Gulley) filled with sediment and debris from Hurricane Sally. The accumulation of this sediment and debris has reduced the stormwater flow capacity of the existing channel. The intent of this project is to restore the pre-storm, stormwater flow capacity. The work will include sediment and debris removal, installation of erosion matting/ sod, and construction of ditch armoring. All of these components will re-establish pre-storm conditions for the Glynn Broc Gulley County owned parcel. This project also includes the installation of approximately 48” diameter stormwater piping and inlets under a reconstructed and widened concrete channel with a drop structure at the location of the repeated failure area. Restabilization of the earthen banking adjacent to the new ditch and sod. Construction plans include pre-existing stormwater connections to be reestablished to previous or better conditions.
