As of July 28, 2022, project has not been awarded. No timeline of award was established As of 6/7/2022 no award has been made. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. No less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful offeror must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, or national origin (if applicable). A BIDDER'S BOND from a reliable surety company licensed to operate in the State of Texas or Certified Cashier's Check, payable without recourse to the County of Hidalgo, for the amount of not less than 5% of the total proposal shall accompany the submittal as a guaranty that, if awarded the contract, the Vendor will enter into a contract with the County of Hidalgo. Payment and Performance Bonds shall be executed except in the event of a single payment contract with the County of Hidalgo in lieu of Performance Bond. In the event the total amount proposed is $25,000 or less, the successful vendor has the option to enter into a single payment contract with the County of Hidalgo in lieu of a Payment and Performance Bond. UPON SUBMITTING BIDS, offers are required to properly identify (handwritten, typed, or printed) sealed envelope and/or packet as follows: Offeror's name and address in the upper left-hand corner of the sealed envelope and/or package and RFB No.: 22-0273-05-31-MEG "Colonia Tejana Stormwater Project" in the lower left-hand corner of sealed envelope and/or packet. OVERNIGHT MAIL MUST ALSO BE PROPERLY LABELED ON THE OUTSIDE OF EXPRESS ENVELOPE OR PACKAGE NO FACSIMILES OR LATE ARRIVALS WILL BE ACCEPTED. ANY BID RECEIVED AFTER THAT TIME WILL NOT BE OPENED AND WILL BE RETURNED. Typewritten RFB's shall be e-mailed to maria.gomez@co.hidalgo.tx.us. RFI's will not be answered by phone. NO HANDWRITTEN RFI will be processed/answered. All inquiries shall be forwarded by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022. Responses to said inquiries will be sent to all applicants via email by no later than Thursday, May 26, 2022. Inquiries beyond this date will not be responded to. HIDALGO COUNTY reserves the right to refuse and reject any/all bids and to waive any/all formalities or technicalities, or to accept the bid considered the best and most advantageous to the County.
