Description

This project consists of a new addition and renovation of the existing County Courthouse Facility. The project is located at 110 West Center Street, Lexington, NC. On-site construction shall consist of Abatement and Demolition, Storm Drainage, Utilities, Site Improvements, Paving, Landscaping, and Fencing. The new addition and renovation to the Davidson County Courthouse will update and expand current court facilities, District and Superior court judge offices and courtrooms, guardian Ad Litem, District Attorney, Clerk of Court to accommodate current and future space needs. Accommodate Register of Deeds in current location, coordinate with Sheriff for Security and Juvenile services accessibility in new courtrooms. The new construction will infill between the existing disjoined connecting both 1958 and 2000 courtroom buildings into a joined and internally connected building. Infill will be a 3 Level - Type IIB construction consisting of steel frame, CMU and metal stud walls, masonry veneer, curtain wall system and windows. The total square foot of new +/-76,500 and +/- 10,900 of renovation area and tie-in to existing courthouses as necessary.
