South Pointe Connector Gas Main Extension Project

The full scope of work for the project will consist of the installation of 5,700 feet of 6-inch PE gas main along Bibb Garrett Road from Mooresville Road to Endeavor Way and connect to existing gas mains at both ends. Project includes 300-foot horizontal direction bore under Piney Creek. Other line items (if applicable) as described in the Specifications and Contract Documents are an integral part of this Contract. The work shall be performed according to the plans and specifications. A cashier's check or a bid bond payable to the City of Huntsville, Alabama, d/b/a/ Huntsville Utilities for an amount not less than 5% of the contractor's bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, will be required to accompany each contractor's bid. Performance and Payment bonds are required for this project. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved. All questions should be submitted to Miranda Duke at Miranda.Duke@hsvutil.org. No paper plans will be issued. All questions should be submitted by November 2, 2022, close of business. Bids will be accepted only from qualified General Contractors licensed by the State of Alabama. Only bids of such Contractors who are licensed by the State of Alabama prior to the date of the bid opening will be considered.
