Landscape Maintenance - General Aviation Airports The Hillsborough County Aviation Authority (Authority), an independent special district, issues this Invitation to Bid (Solicitation) for Landscape Maintenance - General Aviation Airports at Peter O. Knight Airport, Tampa Executive Airport, and Plant City Airport (General Aviation Airports). The Authority welcomes responses to this Solicitation (Bids) from all national, regional and Florida firms. Background The Authority was created in 1945 and is an independent special district governed by the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority Act, Chapter 2022-252, Laws of Florida (Act). This Act provides that the Authority will have exclusive jurisdiction, control, supervision and management over all publicly-owned airports in Hillsborough County. The Hillsborough County Aviation Authority (Authority), an independent special district, issues this Invitation to Bid (Solicitation) for Landscape Maintenance - General Aviation Airports at Peter O. Knight Airport, Tampa Executive Airport, and Plant City Airport (General Aviation Airports). The Authority welcomes responses to this Solicitation (Bids) from all national, regional and Florida firms. The firms who submit a Bid to this Solicitation (singularly Respondent, collectively Respondents) must meet the minimum qualification requirements as specified in Section 13, Respondent Questionnaire, Minimum Qualifications on the Authority's The Authority is seeking landscaping services for the Authority's three (3) General Aviation Airports. QUESTION AND CLARIFICATION DEADLINE: December 14, 2023, 5:00 pm Award of Contract Prior to Board award, the Respondent being recommended by the CEO to the Board (Recommended Respondent) will be required to execute the Contract. The Contract will be substantially similar to Attachment A, Sample Contract, and will incorporate the Recommended Respondent's Bid, any subsequent information requested from the Recommended Respondent by the Authority during the evaluation process, and any other mutually agreed upon terms and conditions. The Authority will transmit the Contract to the Recommended Respondent for execution at least fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the scheduled Board meeting for selection and award. The Recommended Respondent agrees to deliver two duly executed original copies of the Contract to the Authority no later than seven (7) calendar days prior to the scheduled Board meeting. Term of Contract The Term of the Contract is February 1, 2024 through January 31, 2025 with two, one year renewal options at the sole discretion of the CEO. The Authority will have the right to terminate the Contract by giving thirty (30) days written notice to the Awarded Respondent. Refer to Attachment A, Sample Contract for specific provisions of the Contract relating to Term, termination, renewals, rights and obligations and end of Term transition. The Authority does not guaranty work or any amount of work to the Awarded Respondent during the Term of the Contract. Insurance Requirements The Awarded Respondent will be required to provide the insurance coverage and limits as outlined in Attachment A, Sample Contract. The Awarded Respondent's insurance certificate, meeting the minimum requirements specified in the Contract, must be submitted and approved by the Authority within ten (10) calendar days of Contract award by the Authority's Board. Failure on Awarded Respondent's part to submit the required insurance to the Authority by the required date may result in cancellation of the Contract, and recommended award of the Contract to the qualified Respondent with the next lowest Bid. Self-insurance will only be accepted upon written request and approval by the Authority. In order for the Awarded Respondent's self-insurance program to be considered, the Awarded Respondent must submit the following documents to the Authority for review and approval within ten (10) calendar days of award of Contract by the Authority's Board |
