Description

Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) firms with expertise in the delivery of iconic multi-story civic (or similar) facilities with challenging urban site conditions. This request for CMAR is associated with the design and construction administration of the new civic tower to be located on the Avery C. Upchurch block, 110 S. McDowell Street, the corner of Hargett and McDowell Streets. This facility should be iconic and representative of the Capital City of North Carolina. Qualified firms are invited to express interest by demonstrating qualifications for providing CMAR services for the Civic Campus Phase 1, the City's new civic tower. The new civic towner building will provide centralized municipal functions including new departmental office space and conference facilities for approximately 1,400 staff, public facing functions and Council Chamber, in addition to potential ground floor retail, and parking. The new civic tower building will enable the City to consolidate most of its currently fragmented downtown workforce from multiple offices (RMB, OEP (One Exchange Plaza), 310 W. Martin, Professional Building, Briggs Building, One City Plaza and any new leases) into one central location.
